Leave the familiar roads behind and venture into the heart of Tasmania's rural food culture on a full-day journey through the Dunalley region. Travelling the back roads between a selection of small, family-run farms and producers, this intimate experience offers rare access to working properties that are not generally open to visitors.
With a maximum of six guests, the day unfolds across up to five farms, each revealing a different side of Tasmania's exceptional produce and the people behind it. Meet passionate producers, step behind the scenes of their operations and discover the stories, traditions and techniques that have shaped their businesses. Depending on the season and the day's itinerary, encounters may include a working dairy, vineyard, apiarist, oyster hatchery, sheep farm and traditional shipwright.
At each stop, taste exceptional local produce, much of which is destined for some of Tasmania's finest restaurants and food purveyors. The journey culminates with lunch at one of Australia's acclaimed vineyards, accompanied by a selection of regional tastings and a memorable wine and chocolate pairing.
For an even more spectacular perspective, a private helicopter joy ride can be added to the experience, soaring above the dramatic coastline and countryside of the Tasman Peninsula.
