If you're looking to participate in a dedicated wellness programme or simply seeking an escape from everyday stresses then Kamalaya ticks all the boxes. This wellness sanctuary is hidden on a hillside on the south east corner of Koh Samui, leading down to a secluded private beach.

Accommodation is simple yet comfortable. Hillside Rooms and Sea View Suites are set on the hillside amongst the trees; the villas are more spacious, some with private pools and close to the beach.

The best way to experience Kamalaya is by booking a wellness programme. Whether the focus is detox, weight loss, fitness, stress relief or yoga, these holistic packages combine activities, spa treatments, healing therapies and, if necessary, dietary guidelines to achieve results. As you would expect, there are extensive wellness facilities and plenty of space amongst the natural surroundings to relax and reflect.

When it comes to dining, it's not all about raw food and denial! Kamalaya’s healthy cuisine is taste-bud tempting and creative. Yes - desserts and selected wines are available! You can choose to dine individually or with other guests on the "community table".

Rock Top Villa

Sleeps: 2 Adults

This accommodation embraces nature on two levels, with a natural rock wall and lofty ceiling. It features a main double bedroom and second twin bedroom each with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a living room and outdoor terrace with daybeds. Perched above Samui's coastline, they offer nature views of boulders, trees and sea.

Sea View Suite

Sleeps: 2 Adults

65 sqm in size, the Sea View Suites are simple and stylish in design. They are situated at the top of the resort, close to Soma Restaurant and Alchemy Tea Lounge, and enjoy stunning sea and valley views from the balcony.

Superior Suite Sea View, Garden Pool Suite Seaview, Penthouse Suites

Sleeps: 2 Adults

These new superior suites (opening 15 Jan 2015) are located at the highest point of the resort with stunning panoramic views and are 64sqm in size. Three will have shower only. The Garden Pool Suite Seaview is 112sqm. One Bedroom Penthouse Suites are also available.

Sea View Villa

Sleeps: 2 Adults

Nestled amongst the greenery of Kamalaya, these secluded villas are dotted around the resort, some are closer to Soma Restaurant, some are nearer the beach. Each features a large balcony with a daybed offering sea, jungle, beach and valley views. These villas are extremely spacious offering between 75 and 100 sqm of space.

Pool Villa

Sleeps: 2 Adults

The one bedroom Pool Villa is 126 square metres in size and features a private pool situated in a private courtyard, offering maximum peace and privacy. It is located next to Amrita Cafe and close to the beach.

Hillside Room

Sleeps: 2 Adults

These are cosy retreats (35 sqm in size) simply designed and accented with natural furnishings. Nestled amidst magnificent boulders and trees, these rooms are located next to the Yoga Pavilion and close to Soma Restaurant. Choose from a garden or sea view.

Beachfront Villa

Sleeps: 2 Adults

Perfect if you’re looking for that extra bit of privacy, the Beachfront Villa is nestled atop granite boulders directly overlooking Kamalaya's secluded beach. This villa has a spacious living room and terrace with daybed as well as a private path to the beach. One and Two Bedroom Pool Villas are also available.

Our Advice

If you're staying for more than a week we recommend upgrading to a Beachfront or Pool Villa for more space and privacy.
Kamalaya encircles a centuries-old cave, once used by Buddhist monks as a place for meditation and spiritual retreat. Always open, the monks cave can still be used for quiet contemplation.
