The original night race of Formula 1, there are few races that take over the heart of a city and bring together some of the world's finest hotels, restaurants, entertainment and hospitality like the Singapore Grand Prix.

With so much to experience both on and off the circuit, creating a weekend that brings together the very best of Singapore can require a little careful planning.

Having attended and hosted clients at the Singapore Grand Prix for many years, we know that to experience the best of the Singapore Grand Prix, it's as much about what happens off the track as it is on it.

From the most coveted hospitality experiences and hotels to headline concerts and tailored cultural activities, here is our guide to a memorable Singapore Grand Prix holiday.

The Best Tickets and Hospitality

Singapore is not short on exceptional viewing positions, but we recommend choosing premium hospitality to experience the race to its fullest with exceptional service and private balconies.

Twenty3 Hospitality

Sweeping views of the circuit, sophisticated dining and attentive service. Twenty3 is among our favourite Singapore Grand Prix hospitality options.

Located at the final turn, it includes access to three celebrity chef restaurants, alfresco dining at Bay Terrace and an extensive selection of drinks, including champagne, wines, beers and premium spirits.

A two-way ferry service also provides an elegant way to arrive at and leave the circuit, while the location makes it possible to enjoy the atmosphere of the race right through to the final fireworks.

Republic Grandstand

If you'd prefer a non-hospitality option in the grandstands, the Republic Grandstand is one of our favourites.

It offers one of the most thrilling vantage points in Formula One. Located along Raffles Boulevard, it provides a front-row view of the action as drivers accelerate toward Turn 5, a critical point where they brake hard before entering the winding section of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, so is excellent for seeing the race drama up close.

The Best Places to Stay in Singapore

As you'd expect, there are an abundance of sensational hotels in the Lion City, but some are preferred over others on Grand Prix weekend for their location, transport links and access to the best of the city's entertainment and dining.

Grand Copthorne Hotel

We've been staying at Grand Copthorne Waterfront for years and continue to recommend it as an excellent base for the Singapore Grand Prix.

With easy access to the Marina Bay Street Circuit by metro, a choice of international restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, and a wonderful waterfront location, it's a quieter retreat from the energy of race weekend while remaining well connected to the city with excellent nightlife, entertainment and Michelin-star restaurants close by.

Entertainment and Concerts

The Singapore Grand Prix is as much as festival as it is a racing weekend, with more than 100 hours of entertainment across 10 stages and themed precincts throughout the Marina Bay Circuit.

Live music concerts, big name DJ sets, roving acts and live Q&As with drivers as the F1 Drivers' Fans Forum make this event one of the best in the calender for atmosphere.

The concerts are the biggest piece of the weekend's entertainment, with a star-studded lineup of international artists playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

Things to do in Singapore

A melting pot of culture, architecture and Michelin star-spangled dining, there's plenty to experience on Singapore Grand Prix Weekend away from the circuit. If time allows, stay for a few extra days and see a different side of the Lion City, with bespoke experiences arranged around your interests.

Marvel at the Singapore skyline from the SkyPark Observation Deck, stroll through the kaleidoscopic Gardens by the Bay and the Flower Dome, or learn about the city's World War II history on a day trip to Sentosa Island before retreating to one of the isle's pristine beaches.

For a more indulgent afternoon, explore Singapore's famed retail scene with private appointments at luxury fashion boutiques in Millenia Walk. Plus, inside you'll find exciting activities for kids to enjoy too, with thrilling F1 simulators and go karts to keep them entertained while you shop.

After the racing finishes, Singapore comes alive and this weekend is the best time to experience its nightlife. Take your pick of the official concerts and DJ sets or ask us to reserve a table for you at Amber Lounge, one of the city's most coveted events which is particularly popular amongst F1 drivers.

Best places to eat and drink in Singapore

Singapore's culinary scene reflects the city's extraordinary cultural diversity, with Michelin-starred restaurants, celebrated local cuisine and sophisticated bars found throughout the city.

For dinner with a view, head to Clarke Quay, where fine dining restaurants line the Singapore River and range from steakhouses and seafood restaurants to contemporary Asian dining. It is a balmy and romantic setting for an evening in the city, particularly as the lights begin to come on along the waterfront.

At The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, you can enjoy an array of dining experiences spanning international and Asian flavours and afternoon tea with an elegant setting overlooking Marina Bay.

And no visit to Singapore would be complete without an evening at Raffles, where the Singapore Sling has been served since 1915. Head to the Long Bar to order the Singaporean classic, accompanied, naturally, by its obligatory sack of peanuts.

Getting to the Marina Bay Street Circuit

As the Marina Bay Circuit is woven into the heart of Singapore, the Grand Prix is extremely easy to access from across the city with MRT metro stations providing access to the multiple entrances of Circuit Park.

As helicopter transfers to the circuit are not possible from hotels in Singapore, we can arrange private car transfers if you'd prefer to avoid navigating the metro.
