Housed within an old, colonial era British military building dating back to 1904, The Barracks is a truly unique place to stay in Singapore. Set on Sentosa Island, it’s perfectly placed for enjoying some of the area’s top attractions, from the beautiful beaches to buzzing city adventures.

The hotel has been lovingly restored and converted, maintaining many of the charming original features while still incorporating all of the contemporary luxuries you’d wish for. The 40 rooms and suites will transport you away to the romance of a bygone era, where you can feel truly immersed in the heritage of the region.

When you’re not out exploring the wonders of Singapore, there’ll be plenty of places for you to relax, unwind and reflect on your time spent here. The Living Room is the exclusive lounge, where you can enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. You’ll also be able to share facilities with the hotel’s sister properties, including the exotic Pool Deck, where you can bask in the cascading themed pools and lounge on the wicker day beds.

There are also plenty of things to do, too. Embark on a Heritage Tour, where veteran guides will bring the island alive with their personal stories. You could also learn a new skill at one of the recreational workshops or refresh with a morning yoga session by the pool.

These spacious rooms with airy, high ceilings are set on the second level of the hotel, and feature either a king-sized bed or twin beds.

Premier Room Pool Access

Sleeps: 2 Adults

With the same spacious design and features as the Premier Rooms, these rooms also offer direct access to the Barracks Pool.

Suite Room

Sleeps: 3 Adults

These generously sized rooms back onto semi-private whirlpools, which provide ground floor access to the Barracks Pool. Enjoy a warm soak late into the evening with these luxurious guestrooms.

Garden Suites

Sleeps: 3 Adults

Boasting their own private corner patio, the Garden Suites are the perfect place to relax or enjoy an intimate dinner in your al fresco dining space. From your patio, you’ll also enjoy direct access to the Barracks Pool.

Duplex Suites

The Duplex Suites comprise of an interconnecting ground floor suite with a Premier Room on the floor above. Ideal for families and groups, you’ll have both balcony and direct pool access.

Created by the hotel’s heritage specialist, this tour offers an unmissable chance to connect with your destination in Singapore. Led by veteran guides with their own trove of personal stories and experiences to share, you can find out first-hand all about the history of Sentosa, from its days as a military base to its transformation into a holiday destination.

Afternoon Tea

No stay in The Barracks is complete without indulging in the decadent afternoon tea. Take a seat and be served with a three-tier platter of sweet and savoury treats, complete with flowing Champagne. You can also create your own bespoke tea blend at The Living Room, which you can enjoy with your food, in your room or out in the hotel grounds.

Swimming Pools

Along with the hotel’s own Barracks Pool, you’ll have access to the Pool Deck, which is shared with the nearby sister properties. Each with their own theme, you can relax among the foliage of the Pamukkale Pool, weave though the tiny islands of the Adventure Pool or meander down the Lazy River Pool. There’s also the fun Children’s Play Pool, complete with slides, water features and shallows for splashing in.
