Set out on an enriching adventure to Marrakech, from hiking along ancient pathways in the High Atlas Mountains to getting a taste of Moroccan culture by riding a camel in the vast desert expanse.

After touching down in the ‘Red City’, you’ll head out towards the High Atlas Mountains, home to some of the lushest valleys and rockiest ridges in the country. Hike through Berber villages and stop at a local home for an authentic dinner. Then why not opt for a soothing spa treatment to complete your perfect first day in Morocco?

From here on out, there’s an array of breathtaking experiences planned throughout every single day of your adventure. Not only will you explore Marrakech and discover its beautiful 12th-century mosques and bustling squares, but you’ll also visit iconic museums and marvel at beautifully designed Islamic architecture.

In addition, discover the complex Saadian Tombs and ride on a 1940s BMW motorcycle through ancient palm groves before finally ending with a visit to the stunning 19th-century Al Bahia Palace.

Itinerary

Fly from the UK to Marrakech. Then transfer to Kasbah Tamadot in the High Atlas Mountains.
Enjoy a two-hour guided hike along ancient pathways and through Berber villages, taking in its stunning scenery of lush valleys and rocky ridges. Afterwards, stop at a local Berber home for dinner. Over at Kasbah Tamadot, you can enjoy an optional spa treatment and unwind after the long hike. For a true Moroccan experience, try the Hammam, where your skin is deeply cleansed and purified.
Return to the city and transfer to La Maison Arabe. During the day, you’ll tour Marrakech. Visit Koutoubia Minaret, a beautiful 12th-century mosque, and continue to Djemaa el Fnaa, the main square at the heart of the medina. In the afternoon, enjoy an optional lunch at Le Grand Cafe de la Poste before visiting the Mellah of Marrakech. Then have an optional dinner at Comptoir Darna.
Wake up early and head to the small village of Dchiera Aghouatim. Here, you’ll experience a private cookery class hosted by a famous local chef. Afterwards, visit Jardin Majorelle – a gorgeous garden gifted to Marrakech from Yves-Saint Laurent – and explore the YSL Museum, displaying traditional Berber costumes, craftwork, jewels and instruments. Opt for dinner at the classy Bozin Restaurant.
This morning, get an invaluable insight into Marrakech design and artisanship with local ateliers tucked out of public view. From off-the-beaten-path wholesalers to bustling metal and brass workshops, you’ll have access to and see new designs being created using traditional methods. Following this, you can opt for a wonderful lunch at La Trattoria and dinner at Ling Ling Restaurant.
Today, discover the unique ornaments of Dar El Bacha Museum, Islamic art in the Secret Garden, and complex chambers of the Saadian Tombs. Take your time exploring Dar Si Said Museum, an exhibition combining artisan craftwork and Islamic architecture. Then get a taste of Moroccan desert culture by riding a camel and enjoying a luxurious dinner experience at Desert d’Agafay Inara Camp.
Enjoy your last day with a ride on two 1940s reproduction BMW motorcycles along the best routes through ancient palm groves. From here, relax in the Menara Gardens, established during the 12th-century around a lake once used to water fruit and vegetables. Finally, pay a visit to Al Bahia Palace – set in gardens built during the late 19th-century, intended to be the greatest palace of its time.
Depart for Marrakech Menara Airport and board your flight back to the UK.
