Fly from the UK to Vienna for a luxurious overnight stay before your incredible journey along the ancient Silk Road begins.

Day 2 Vienna, Austria

Vienna is a majestic cultural hub that was once home to legendary composers like Mozart and Beethoven. Explore Vienna's historic heart, from the imperial Hofburg Palace to the centuries-old St Stephen’s Cathedral or spend the day immersing yourself in its musical heritage. You could enjoy a private walking tour to see the highlights of the historic city centre, or be immersed in Vienna’s coffee house culture, a gathering place for artists and poets.

Day 3-4 Tirana, Albania

A short flight from Vienna takes you to one of the most secluded nations in the world. Isolated by Communist rule until 1991, the treasures of Albania have only recently been discovered by luxury travellers. Uncover everything from medieval monuments to one of the best-preserved Ottoman cities in the world. Day 13-14 Bukhara, Uzbekistan

Take the short flight to Uzbekistan and discover Bukhara, a fabled Silk Road outpost and medieval holy city. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historic centre, Bukhara is home to 2,000 years of fascinating history and is one of Central Asia’s oldest cities. Surrounded by some of the most impressive architecture found in this part of the world, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring mosques and shrines dedicated to Islamic culture.

Day 15-16 Ashgabat and Merv, Turkmenistan

Set in the heart of Central Asia, Turkmenistan is one of the least-visited countries in the world. This means that when you arrive in Turkmenistan, it’ll feel like you will have all its highlights to yourself. Expect rugged mountains and breathtaking remnants of a fascinating Silk Road heritage. You might also decide to stop in Merv for a day of exploration. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was once a thriving city on the Silk Road.

Day 17-18 Athens, Greece

Conclude your journey in historic Athens. Look back on the incredible memories you’ve made on the trip as you explore one of the world’s most legendary cities. Then, make you way to the airport and catch your independent flight home the following day.
