Inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII, it’s long attracted aristocracy, something you’ll still feel with every step you take around this Belle Epoque palace. Following recent renovations by Parisian design-house, Gilles & Boissier, you’ll now find 100 elegant rooms and 53 suites, styled in contemporary and classic luxury.

When it comes to location, you won’t find much better that Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid. Set in the ‘Triangle of Art’, you’ll be opposite the celebrated Prado and close to the Thyssen Museums, Retiro Park and Madrid Stock Exchange, while the shopping and financial districts are also just a short walk away.

At Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, you’ll be in the heart of the city’s arts and culture offering. Head out onto the Paseo del Prado and admire the fountains and trees that line the way. For more history, head across the road to Gran Via, the city’s most famous street filled with shops, theatres and early 20th century buildings. Next, continue to Puerta del Sol, the hub of the city, before visiting the Plaza Mayor, which dates back 400 years, and the Royal Palace.

Alternatively, simply turn the corner from the hotel and spend the day walking the beautiful Retiro Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens, which were founded in the 18th century.

With so many sights and discoveries within a half hour walk of the hotel, you’ll be perfectly placed to see it all.
