Hotel information
Discover a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Nice’s Old Town.
Once a 17th-century convent, Hotel du Couvent offers a uniquely atmospheric escape where history, wellness and Riviera elegance combine. Tucked away in the Old Town of Nice, France, you’ll find yourself just moments from the boutiques, beach and Promenade des Anglais — yet seemingly worlds away from all the hustle and bustle of the city.
By stepping through the stone archways, you’re instantly transported into an enchanting retreat. The convent’s original charm has been beautifully preserved, from the vaulted ceilings to cloistered courtyards. You’ll even find nods to the past, most notably in the Roman Baths that are inspired by the nearby ruins at Cimiez.
While here, you can soak up some peace and quiet. Wake to the aroma of fresh coffee and baked madeleines, wander through lush gardens where herbs and vegetables are grown on site, and pause at the herbalist’s shop to discover the curative blends on display. On Saturdays, the courtyard springs to life with a local market, where you can browse flowers, ceramics and produce from the region.
Wellness is a central part of the experience, too. Take time for yoga, meditation or other classes in the dedicated Movement Studio. You can even cool off in the 20m pool overlooking the city and sea. Or, why not retreat to the plunge pool by the Guinguette for a leisurely lunch and drinks?
Additionally, you'll have exclusive access to beach club Le Galet, or you can head to one of the weekly outdoor cinema screenings help to complete what is an unforgettable stay.
Whether you’re here for the culture, coastline or to simply unwind, Hotel du Couvent invites you to embrace a more soulful side of the Cote d’Azur.
Visit any day of the year - due to Nice's pleasant weather, the hotel is open all year round for you to enjoy.
