The Lord Nelson Hotel was originally built in 1928 and is a landmark building in the city of Halifax.
There have been additions made to the hotel over the years but it has retained its historic elegance throughout. The hotel sits on the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street, overlooking the 16-acre Victorian era Halifax Public Gardens.
The hotel offers 260 fresh and elegantly appointed rooms and suites, ranging from Classic Standard Rooms through to Deluxe One Bedroom Suites and Parkview Suites.
Arms Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; the restaurant has been styled around a traditional English pub and offers typical pub fare and comfort foods. Enjoy dining al fresco in the summer on the restaurant patio that overlooks the Halifax Public Gardens.
The hotel is right in the heart of one the city’s best shopping areas on Spring Garden Road and only a 10 – 20-minute walk to attractions such as the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and Halifax’s Historic Waterfront and Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.
